Job Description

Summary

The People Intern Talent works with the Talent and Continuous Improvement teams to design, update, facilitate, and implement training programs. The People Intern Talent will work closely with the Director, Talent on critical business programs including designing resources to support HWI Academy, leadership competency work, leadership development training, and employee engagement. As needed, there will also be opportunity to work with the Director, Continuous Improvement on training initiatives related to our HWI Business System (HBS).

Job Duties

  • Works with Talent and Continuous Improvement teams to convert live training sessions into on-demand delivery (example courses: Change Leadership, Role of a Leader, Coaching 101, HBS 201)
  • Assists with the facilitation of training sessions and develop assessments to capture training effectiveness
  • Supports Continuous Improvement organization through support of training and development initiatives (possible project include: HBS training for hourly population)
  • Develops resources to support learning initiatives including evaluating training course content to align with leadership competencies, job aids to support development, learning management system navigation, etc.
  • Assists with employee engagement analysis and discussions
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a MA, BA or BS degree in organizational development, I/O psychology, human resources, or equivalent minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0)
  • Requires a general knowledge of best practices in learning including learning theories and instructional design models
  • Requires a problem-solving and analytical mindset, interested in process improvement
  • Requires the ability to influencing people and teams
  • Requires computer operation skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and other software tools/ solutions as needed to prepare documents and presentations.
  • Requires analytical skills and the ability to assemble data
  • Requires time management and organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team and individual environment
