Job Description
We are seeking a Tax Manager You will be responsible for the effective management and profitable operation of your assigned branch office.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance and Planning: Review and manage staff deliverables, including tax returns, extensions and tax planning calculations for corporate, partnership, trust, nonprofit, and individual tax returns. Conduct complex tax research and summarize findings.
Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individuals & corporations. Assist with IRS and state agency audits.
Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining and growing relationships. Provide expert tax advice tailored to clients’ specific needs and financial goals.
Team Leadership: Mentor a team of tax professionals, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Facilitate professional development and training opportunities for team members.
Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. Stay abreast of new tax policies and legislation that may affect the firm and its clients.
Business Development: Assist in the firm’s growth initiatives by participating in business development activities and networking with potential clients and industry professionals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; a Master’s degree in Taxation is highly preferred.
CPA certification is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax role with a public accounting firm
Extensive knowledge of tax codes, compliance requirements, and procedures for corporations, partnerships, trusts, nonprofits and individuals.
Proven leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing staff.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relationships and interact with all levels of staff and management.
