Salary or hourly is dependent on experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assisting in daily operations of accounting and tax department. Analyzing and preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements. Reconciliation of ledger accounts, preparing and recording journal entries. Assisting in payroll calculations, processing and preparing payroll tax returns. Assisting clients with their ongoing accounting needs, ensuring timely response and satisfaction. Preparing and reporting the monthly, quarterly, yearly excise returns for clients. Registering with the states for payroll withholdings. Maintaining working documentation in detail. Preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses including state tax returns. Gather and analyze the financial information for tax return purposes. Maintaining active communication to ensure client needs are met. Maintaining detailed records and working papers for all tax returns. Monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations and payroll preparation using quickbooks. Job Requirements and Experience: Proficient in tax preparation using tax preparation software (Lacerte). Proficient in bookkeeping and payroll processing using QuickBooks. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong work ethic and good work attendance with a willingness to work overtime. Team player attitude maintaining good working relationships with clients and co-workers.
