The position of a Speech Language Pathologist – Assistant provides coordinated speech therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Essential Job Functions include: Administers the speech therapy treatment plan as developed by the supervising SLP Communicates with families, SLPs and staff using strong communication skills Attends IEP meetings and performs clerical and scheduling duties Documents students' performance and administers and scores screenings for the interpretation by the SLP Develops and implements activities and materials for teaching and practice of skills to address the goals of the student Provides treatment through various service delivery models, including teletherapy, in-person therapy, individual, and group therapy Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to achieve desirable outcomes Demonstrates commitment, professional growth and competency Promotes Agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care Experience/Requirements: Pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience preferred Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality of data and information Knowledge of therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance Education/License/Certification: Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution of higher education Current Active State License to practice Speech Therapy in the state you are looking to work within Care Options for Kids is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
