We’re looking for a Senior Application Engineer to join us on an 8-month fixed-term contract in Manchester to provide technology-related support and guidance to our Logistics colleagues; making sure that the systems in place are fit for purpose. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way – splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy atcolleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy ). As a Senior Application Engineer at Co-op, we’ll look to you to design and deliver a range of solutions, from software to infrastructure, as well as providing day-to-day technical support to both internal and external partners. If you can bring us the experience in logistics and distribution technologies that we’re looking for, we can offer you the chance to make a big impact on the way we do business, while also getting some great exposure to Manhattan’s WMS What you’ll do Provide application design, build, and implementation support related to our logistics and distribution technologies (e.g. Manhattan) Monitor and manage the day-to-day service delivery on a 24/7 rotation Facilitate and lead workshops to identify continuous improvement opportunities Work closely alongside senior leaders across Co-op Co-ordinate and lead small teams to deliver project activities within overall business change projects This role would suit people who have Experience of warehouse & transport management systems development (e.g. Manhattan, TES, Paragon) within a logistics and distribution environment Experience working in technology; running change and operations for multiple, business critical applications and services Good communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate technical language for a non-technical audience The ability to coach and support junior colleagues Why Co-op?
