What You’ll Do: As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of Bank Reconciliations, general ledgers, and recording, preparing, and analyzing budgets, and performing general accounting activities for Condado Tacos.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconciliation of general ledger accounts including, but not limited to: cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and gift and loyalty cards Review and analysis of financial statements to ensure the appropriateness and accuracy of general ledger coding and adjust as necessary Preparation of monthly Sales & Use and Commercial Activity Tax filings under the supervision of the Accounting Manager Maintain fixed asset depreciation schedules as necessary Daily review and posting of restaurant sales for 25+ locations Assist with period-end and year-end close as needed, including identifying and posting accruals and adjusting entries Preparation of various journal entries with proper support Assist with the implementation of new initiatives, policies, and software solutions Scanning, filing, and maintenance of accounting documents, records, and reports Communication with outside entities as necessary to answer questions and resolve issues accordingly

Positional Requirements:

2-4 year degree in Accounting with 2 years of direct Accounting experience (will take 5-6 years of experience in lieu of education) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Must have experience with general ledger account reconciliations Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects Intermediate to Advanced command of Microsoft Office, including Excel (vlookups, hlookup, sumif, pivot tables, macros, etc.) Compeat Advantage: NetSuite (Preferred, but not required)
