Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities
  • Works independently on all Medicare, Medicaid and TriCare Cost Reports and Minnesota Department of Health Hospital Annual Report (HAR) and Medical Education Research Costs (MERC) responsibilities.
    • Lead annual Cost Report peer-review process.
    • Prepare annual data requests.
  • Coordinates and facilitates the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) audits and desk reviews.
    • Responds to MAC data requests.
    • Acts as a liaison between the MAC and the system.
  • Coordinates and facilitates Medicaid Cost Reports and Disproportionate Share audits as well as annual MERC applications.
    • Organizes all provider appeals including correspondence, documentation, tracking, regulatory filings and administrative resolution of open issues.
    • Leads annual cost report peer review process.
    • Attends designated reimbursement, provider and department staff and leadership meetings.
    • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related field required
  • 3 to 7 years of applicable Medicare Reimbursement experience with a Medicare Administrative Contractor, Public Accounting Health Care Provider or consulting background required and
  • 3 to 7 years of experience with Microsoft Office and other financial systems software required
