Your Role The Medicare team is responsible for servicing Medicare members including Med Supp an). Total Duals / D-SNP (Dual Special Need Plans. The Supervisor will report to the department Manager. Your Work In this role, you will: Be responsible for routine operations and people management functions Foster a great place to work communicating clear roles and responsibilities and building successful working relationships across the organization Consult and make recommendations to management on operational issues Use concepts and abilities to manage processes and operations, including procedural changes, inventories, and workload management Apply policies and procedures within health care operations Provide regular coaching to each team member, including audit feedback, corrective actions, and performance improvement Perform routine quality audits for each team member to help improve the overall quality experience Manage onboarding of new team members Complete administrative tasks such as updating timecards, schedule updates, performance and attendance trackers etc. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned Your Knowledge and ExperienceRequires to live within 50 miles radius from one of our California office locations - i.e. Lodi, Rancho Cordova, El Dorado Hills, Redding, Long Beach, Oakland, Woodland HillsRequires a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experienceRequires a minimum of 2 years of experience operating in a lead role or equivalent leadership training or manager trainingUnderstands basic supervisory/ management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process executionTypically, requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned disciplineMedicare experience preferredExperience supervising a remote team preferredCall center experience strongly preferredExperience in managing and engaging a remote teamStrong internet service required, to include at least 16 megabytes per second download and most importantly 5 megabytes per second uploadAvailability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as neededPay Range:The pay range for this role is: $ 65890.00 to $ 98890.00 for California.Note:Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
