What you need to be successful

As a Counter Sales/Parts Associate at QC Supply, having strong computer and organizational skills is crucial in ensuring smooth operations both in-store and over the phone. Your written communication abilities will come in handy when assisting customers and recommending the best parts and equipment for their needs. Sales skills paired with a keen attention to detail are essential in providing top-notch customer service and accurate order fulfillment.

From handling payment transactions to inventory management, multitasking and time management skills will be key in excelling in this role. A knack for problem-solving and a customer-focused mindset will be beneficial in addressing customer needs promptly and effectively. Being adaptable to changes and demonstrating a willingness to learn and upgrade industry knowledge will set you up for success in this dynamic position.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • The Counter Sales / Parts Associate will possess strong computer, organizational and written communication skills. Sales and customer service skills along with a high attention to detail are essential both in-person and via phone.
  • No college degree required, will train the right person.
  • Work with QC Supply retail customers, both in-store and over the phone/ to understand their needs.
  • Recommend to customers the best parts and equipment available with which their needs can be addressed
  • Educate new customers on new products and special promotions as well as promote QC Supply products
  • Properly operate office equipment, handle payment transactions/ and efficiently utilize computer operating systems
  • Assist with inventory management, including shelving products and performing cycle counts
  • Maintain the inventory levels to assure that there are adequate quantities on hand of all stock
  • Work with the warehouse and ensure that all materials leaving or entering the warehouse are properly accounted for
  • Always keep parts counter and showroom neat and clean
  • Demonstrate a willingness to perform any daily task as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Ideal candidate will have knowledge in the agriculture industry, as well as parts and equipment used, and strives to continually upgrade industry, parts and equipment knowledge
  • Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Responds promptly to customer needs
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
  • Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from others
