Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. This role calls for a high degree of professionalism and requires that the employee maintain strict confidentiality as it relates to our customers orders. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Management.
Duties for Dispatcher include (but not limited to):
- Ensure all dispatches are entered accurately, to include product info, delivery location, tank status, customer info and internal notes critical to customer requirements
- Assigned all drivers work for the next day using the first in/ first out seniority list.
- Notify Drivers of their loads the next day
- This job requires all dispatches that are created by Data Entry to be double checked to ensure they are error free. Then all dispatches are to be stuffed in the correct boxes (This also needs to be checked off on the book for verification)
- This job requires backing up of the dispatcher during lunch hour and any time the need arises.
- Responsible for scanning all appropriate documents (I.E, Cleaning Certs, Pressure Test Certs, etc)
- Responsible for ordering on the book and updating as necessary
- Responsible for adding same day orders to "ASAP/Add-on Book"
- Responsible for sending orders and advising load planner on the next day orders
- Responsible for updating the orders/spreadsheets for Invista with tank number and depot info and send out to appropriate parties
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Management
- 2 to 3 years of customer service experience in a transportation/logistics industry
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Dispatch experience is desired but not required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills and professional telephone etiquette
- Organizational skills, ability to multitask and problem-solving skills
- Computer and data entry skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
- Familiar with email system communications.
- Punctuality and dependability
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered.
