Seven Hills New Hampshire is seeking a dedicated Residential Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will manage and coordinate various activities and programs for our students, supervise direct care staff, and oversee campus operations under the guidance of the Assistant Residential Director. Responsibilities:
Residential Supervisor Responsibilities:

Staff Development and Supervision

  • Supervise Residential Counselors following Crotched Mountain School procedures.
  • Oversee orientation, job description reviews, 180-day evaluations, and checklist completion for new Residential Counselors.
  • Conduct scheduled performance appraisals with the Assistant Residential Director.
  • Assess development needs and provide necessary training.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Promote educational and professional development.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance professional skills.
  • Initiate progressive discipline under the Assistant Residential Directors guidance.

Staffing and Scheduling

  • Maintain the teams master schedule and report daily staff configuration effectiveness.
  • Assist with shift vacancies to maintain mandatory staffing ratios.
  • Meet with Residential Counselors daily to discuss shift plans and unit assignments.
  • Monitor staff attendance and address issues.
  • Track overtime and extra time for safety and efficiency.
  • Interview candidates and recommend hires to the Assistant Residential Director.
  • Complete and forward interview paperwork to Human Resources.

Residential Programming

  • Ensure functional unit recreation and group schedules, delegating activities.
  • Oversee skills groups and residential programming in coordination with the Assistant Residential Director.
  • Assign Residential Counselors as student advocates.
  • Oversee the Behavior Management System and contribute to individual behavior plans.
  • Implement Community Integration Plans.

In Charge Responsibilities

  • Serve as Campus or Team In-Charge as scheduled.
  • Address staff call-outs and shortages, ensuring required ratios.
  • Respond to staff injuries per policy.
  • Oversee campus resources and meal supervision.
  • Document significant campus events and ensure nightly security checks.

Policy, Procedures, and Oversight

  • Maintain awareness and ensure adherence to all school policies.
  • Oversee petty cash and recreational funds handling.
  • Ensure students special programs are followed and documented.
  • Respond to student behavior per Safety Cares principles.
  • Ensure proper utilization of Safety Cares.
  • Process student issues per Safety Cares and treatment plans.

Standards of Care

  • Ensure standards of care are consistently met.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Communicate student needs to program staff.
  • Model and ensure staff treat students with dignity and respect.
  • Promote interventions that support the Safety Cares approach.
  • Facilitate student visits and ensure appropriate family contact.
  • Monitor interactions to maintain professional boundaries.

Health and Safety

  • Administer prescribed medication under nursing supervision.
  • Document medication issues per procedure.
  • Ensure completion of fire drills, evacuations, Health and Safety Inspections, and room searches.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized unit environment.

Documentation

  • Ensure completion of required paperwork and documentation.
  • Oversee data collection for studies and surveys.
  • Maintain accurate and timely unit logs.
  • Complete supervisory paperwork promptly.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of shift paperwork and Safety Cares interventions.

Milieu Leadership

  • Participate in unit management team meetings.
  • Communicate essential information to program staff.
  • Act as a positive role model for staff and students.
  • Address daily program and staff concerns.
  • Oversee behavioral management interventions.

Work Habits

  • Perform essential duties of Residential Counselors as needed.
  • Remain awake and alert on duty.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Manage multiple priorities and respond to assignments timely.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversee all direct care unit staff and act as Campus In-Charge when needed.


Qualifications:
Residential Supervisor Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree and One years experience in human services; or Associates Degree with 2 years of experience in human services; or four years of experience in human services with a minimum of Certificate of Achievement from public high school in Massachusetts, documentation of home schooling equivalent to a high school diploma, GED, or High School Diploma. Special training or specific skills; student intern experience or volunteer work may be credited toward experience.

PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES:

Ability to model comfortable and responsible attitudes. Demonstrates tolerance for discussion of sexual abuse with appropriate terminology. Models firm guidance without being abusive or aggressive. Ability to work as a supportive and cooperative team member. Ability to remain awake and alert while on duty.

Requires a current valid drivers license from state of residence.
