Position Overview: As a Tax Manager at our client's family office, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing their tax operations and ensuring compliance with ever-evolving regulations. While most tax compliance tasks are outsourced to a public accounting firm, your focus will be on strategic tax planning, optimization, and client advisory services. This role offers a rare opportunity to step into a leadership position, with the expectation of taking over the team in the next couple of years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic tax planning initiatives for high net worth individuals and families
  • Collaborate closely with external tax advisors to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies
  • Provide expert guidance on complex tax matters and wealth preservation strategies
  • Conduct comprehensive tax reviews and identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies
  • Cultivate and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and growth

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MST preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in tax advisory for high net worth individuals and families
  • Previous experience in public accounting or a family office environment is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional client service
