**Primary Function**

The Sales Manager serves as an integral member of the management team and is responsible for the planning, direction and ongoing management of all company-wide sales activities with the objective of maximizing sales growth and profitability. In a close working relationship with the President, the focus will be to identify and develop new, high-value business opportunities, while fostering existing business, both through a consultative selling approach. This is a hands-on position where you will be a coach and a team player in driving the sales revenue for the organization.

**Responsibilities and Duties:**

* Drive all company sales activities, including goals, performance metrics, and the identification of new business opportunities related to specific markets and/or technologies, to maintain profitable growth.

* Provide guidance and content toward the company's Marketing Plan and marketing activities.

* Develop and nurture customer relationships and opportunities through the entire sales cycle:

+ Host or travel to meet with prospective and existing customers to promote company's services, to learn about their sourcing needs, and to uncover all short- and long-term opportunities.

+ Communicate directly with customers and Pioneer Service's internal team members regarding all technical and commercial aspects of their requests for quotation (RFQs) in preparation for quoting.

+ Help ensure company's Quotations are delivered in a timely fashion with expected content and formatting.

+ Ensure company's quotations are followed-up in a timely manner, and that all pertinent feedback is offered to the appropriate team members.

+ Arbitrate and negotiate between company and customer, where possible, to close on quoted opportunities.

* Collaborate with customers to identify improvement opportunities to help maintain consistently high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

* Maintain detailed records in company CRM and ERP system, and internal network files.

* Keep abreast of the company's markets and competitors, as well as the latest technological advances in production techniques relevant to existing or future opportunities. Investigate and report on any important developments with potential value for the company.

* Identify, recruit, develop and manage a complementary network of independent sales representatives to supplement the company's marketing and sales efforts.

* When warranted, recruit, coach and manage sales and customer service team members, including the establishment of performance metrics, appropriate reporting tools, and technical and sales training.

* Exercise the usual authority of a manager in terms of Human Resource situations, namely hiring, training, counseling, employee relations, performance evaluation, promotions, and terminations.

* Perform other related duties as needed.

**Competencies Required:**

* Minimum of 3 years experience in a machine shop/CNC Swiss/CNC Turning Center environment

* Minimum of 5 years in sales with sales management experience

* Bachelor's Degree Preferred

* Strong track record of closing accounts in a wide range of industries

* Management of Customer Service department personnel.

* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven presentation skills

* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects effectively

* Preferred: ERP experience (Global Shop Solutions or similar)

* Preferred: CRM experience (Hubspot or other)
