About the Role:

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the project, from planning and design to construction and commissioning.
  • Lead the planning, design, and construction of a $220 million greenfield production facility in Illinois, USA.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including risk management and mitigation strategies, to ensure project success.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
Main Responsibilities:
  • This position will require frequent travel to the Bloomington, IL plant for approximately 12 months (based on project needs)
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the project, from planning and design to construction and commissioning.

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including risk management and mitigation strategies, to ensure project success.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of project delivery, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Oversee and coordinate engineer teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Provide regular project status updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Manage project change requests and ensure they are properly documented, reviewed, and approved.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and resource plans to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage project budgets and financial forecasts, including reviewing monthly committed costs and controlling the forecast for the entire project.
  • Collaborate with company stakeholders to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards including public offices.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project issues, risks, and conflicts, and resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Act as the liaison between the customer (production plant), Ferrero project engineers, and regulatory/local building departments.
  • Identify major risks on the project that could be roadblocks and assess solutions before the risks may impact the time or budget of the project.
  • Ensure critical decisions are shared and agreed upon in a timely fashion.
  • Support the team through stressful situations and help manage them.
  • Ensure communication channels with main stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Deliver project management as the joint technical team leader.
  • Manage engineering responsibilities, including leading various multidiscipline regional teams in capital and expense development, timeline adherence, overall team management (motivation and conflict resolution), as well as process development and design.


Who we are looking for:
•Experience managing projects of $200 million or more.
•Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and resource management.
•Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
•Knowledge of local regulations and standards, as well as experience working with regulatory authorities.
•Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
•Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Proficiency in project management software tools.
•Knowledge of product technology, production methods, manufacturing and food sector;
•Knowledge of design of machines and tools;
•Knowledge and use of Excel, Autocad (3D), MS project, PowerPoint, SAP, BIM (Building Information Modelling);
•A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, automation);
•Master in Engineering/Business is considered an asset
