Position Overview:
The Treasury Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of treasury operations including processing, oversight and administration, to ensure all are maintained in compliance with policies and controls. The preferred candidate will have 5+ years of treasury related experience, including managing and administering online platforms, and demonstration of strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.
What you will do and achieve:
Serve as primary administrator on online treasury platforms (including banking, corporate credit card, merchant services) and monitor existing bank account services and signatories
Monitor daily cash balances and process interbank cash movements to ensure adequate liquidity to meet operational needs, optimize cash utilization and maximize earnings on cash surplus
Monitor daily cash activity and review/action pay exceptions, returns and other notification activity as needed
Manage intercompany balances including cash settlement (including Fx impact), non-cash settlement, loans and interest calculation and recording (journal entry)
Perform daily/monthly cash reconciliations, including research and resolving reconciling items
Prepare weekly/monthly cash reporting and support the cash forecasting process as needed
Perform monthly analysis of bank and merchant fee statements, including identifying and resolving discrepancies and service level adjustments
Process disbursements on Treasury portal (positive pay, ACH, wires) and manage vendor templates, including verifying vendor bank accounting information
Manage accounts payable team and process payments in accounting system as needed
Monitor customer auto pay enrollment and merchant service processing; liaise with Contract Accounting team and Accounts Receivable team to resolve any issues or payment failures in a timely manner
Oversee customer bank deposit and cash application and perform process as needed
Ensure compliance with state abandoned property requirements, including monitoring unapplied cash receipts and past due amounts owed third parties and preparing filings, as needed
Maintain credit risk assessment ratings on counterparties and perform credit risk assessments as needed
Manage debt activity including calculations, recording and payments of debt principal, interest, swaps and preparation of borrowing notices, letter of credit requests and other filings as needed
Assist with insurance policy renewal application requests as needed
Support the Senior Vice President, Accounting and Director, Closing and External Reporting in documenting and maintaining policies for Treasury Operations
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
Identify and implement process improvements
Prepare schedules and provide information to support audits
Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls
Perform ad hoc projects and analysis
Who you are:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
Experience
5+ years of experience in treasury and/or financial management
Experience with treasury/banking platforms and related administration
Experience with multi-currency environments and intercompany settlements
Key Knowledge & Skills
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent documentation, communication and analytical skills
Experience with financial accounting systems (Sage Intacct a plus)
Experience with journal entry and account reconciliation preparation
Experience with accounts payable and cash application of receipts
Core Competencies
