We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure to lead our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in virtualization, networking, systems engineering, Windows servers, and identity access management. As the Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure to ensure its efficiency, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Virtualization: Lead initiatives related to virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V, to optimize server resources and enhance scalability.
Networking: Oversee the management and configuration of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to ensure seamless connectivity and data transmission.
Systems Engineering: Manage the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Windows server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
Identity Access Management: Develop and enforce identity and access management policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction and mentorship to the IT infrastructure team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure necessary hardware, software, and services and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Security: Implement and maintain robust security measures across the IT infrastructure, including intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and data encryption protocols.
Capacity Planning: Monitor system performance and resource utilization, conduct capacity planning exercises, and recommend infrastructure upgrades as needed to support business growth.
Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of system failures or security breaches.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on virtualization, networking, systems engineering, and identity access management.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of IT professionals.
In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
Extensive experience with Windows server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
Hands-on experience with identity and access management solutions, such as Microsoft Azure Active Directory and Okta.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues and implement effective solutions.
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
