Floor Supervisor
at our rooftop lounge, The Nest at Thompson Seattle
Hovering above the urban hustle of Pike Place Market and Seattle s downtown, The Nest Thompson Seattle s iconic rooftop bar, cocktail lounge, and terrace showcases views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountain Range beyond. The Nest specializes in handcrafted cocktails, wine, and small snacks featuring seasonal produce highlighting the Pacific Northwest. And while the plush bar buzzes with activity, cozy corners hidden amid lush greenery beckon those seeking a more intimate experience.
Floor Supervisors
possess strong leadership, communication and relationship skills.
They are expected to support senior leadership by developing and assuming basic management responsibilities.
This role leads other associates by coaching, giving direction and may include training, scheduling, payroll and interviewing.
The Floor Supervisor of
Nest
must demonstrate fundamental food and beverage knowledge and serve as the liaison between culinary and restaurant operations. This position plays a significant role in the overall outlet performance, which includes product quality and service standards. In addition to the supervisory floor role, the Nest Floor Supervisor would assist in standardization of quality controls, checklists, order guides and inventory. Knowledge of various front of house positions a plus as the Supervisor would oversee both floor operations and bar operations to effectively guide and mentor service team in addition to growing revenue streams.

Paid Time Off:
Thompson Seattle colleagues begin accruing Vacation Time on their first day of service. At six months of service, colleagues are vested in the time they have been accruing. Full Time & Part Time Colleagues are eligible for vacation time.
Hire Date Through Four Years – 10 Days or 80 hours
Five to Nine Years – 15 Days or 120 hours
10 years or greater – 20 Days or 160 hours
Sick Leave:
Full time, part time and on-call colleagues accrue and have the right to utilize sick and safe time according to Seattle’s Paid Sick and Safe Time Ordinance. As a Tier Three employer all colleagues accrue one (1) hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked starting on their hire date, however, these colleagues cannot use their accrued sick time until they have completed 90-days of employment with Hyatt
Extended Illness Days:
unused sick and safe time in excess of 72 hours converted to Extended Illness Days at the end of each calendar year
Holiday Pay:
Full-time colleagues are eligible for holiday pay on their first day of employment. The paid holidays for eligible colleagues recognized by our hotel are: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and 2 pre-approved days for Floating Holidays.

Wage Information
Hourly role:
The hourly rate for this position starts at $26.54 with an increase to $27.04 after 90 days.
Hourly roles with five-year rates:
The hourly starting rate for this position is $26.54 after 90 days. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for five years, which is an additional $0.50
Hourly roles with seven year rates:
The hourly starting rate for this position is $26.54 after 90 days.
This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for seven years, which is an additional $0.75
Hourly roles with ten year rates:
The hourly starting rate for this position is $26.54 after 90 days. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for ten years, which is an additional $1.00
