Job Summary:

We are actively seeking a Controls Project Engineer to join our innovative team in Orange, CA. This vital role is designed for a professional with a strong background in building automation and control systems, ready to manage and enhance project execution to meet client specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Engineer and manage building automation and controls projects from the design phase through to completion. Collaborate with clients to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met. Lead project teams, fostering a cooperative and productive environment to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Manage project finances, including budgeting, cost monitoring, and financial reporting to ensure profitability. Identify project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain regular communication with all project stakeholders, providing updates and reports on project status and progress. Keep detailed records of project activities and documentation to ensure compliance and quality control.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management within the building automation or controls industry. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, lighting controls, and security system integration. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage project teams effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines. Proficiency in financial management, with experience in budgeting and cost control. Exceptional communication skills, capable of managing client relationships and negotiating contracts. Local to Orange, CA, or willing to relocate, with a stable work history and commitment to professional growth.
