The Dealer Development Manager is responsible for building and developing the Ventrac dealership network to expands growth of the Ventrac product line. This position will support strategic goals of the company and will identify, and establish new business representation for the Ventrac product line. Identifying areas throughout North America where we are underserving the market potential with our products, and onboarding the right new OPE dealer representation to help sell and service the market to achieving company growth goals.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Identify new OPE dealership representation within assigned areas

    Develop a list of future OPE dealership opportunities, and build a relationship with them

  • Guide new dealers through the initial sales process, teaching them why and how to sell Ventrac, maximizing their start with the product line

  • Lead dealers through the initial order process, and what product they should need to be most successful with Ventrac

    Train new dealers in the network tools that they will need to utilize to be successful upon launch

  • Developing strategies/plans of actions for Ventrac products to be sold within each dealership

  • Occasionally attend and supporting dealerships activities such as tradeshows, open-houses etc.

  • Be field expert in territory regarding marketing and product needs, yearly sales programs, dealer development programs, overall sales strategy and other areas that can improve Venture Products Inc.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree minimally required

  • 5+ years sales/marketing experience in the turf or dealership market

  • Proven success in identifying and onboarding high-potential OPE dealerships

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly develop strong customer relationship

  • Must have mechanical aptitude

  • Overall travel is expected to be approximately 50% annually; travel will require overnights and some weekends away from home

  • Must be willing and capable to trailer, load, unload and demonstrate equipment

  • Strong interpersonal skills professional, courteous, friendly and helpful

  • Excellent grammar, voice and diction abilities

  • Superb ability to read, understand and interpret mechanical and operational information effectively

  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills

  • Successfully demonstrated - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including phone communication

  • Must be able to obtain a Medical Examiners Certification

  • Must be able to be insured by VPIs auto insurance carrier

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent computer and keyboarding skills - Word, Excel, Internet
  • Strong process and organizational skills
  • Excellent presentation skills with internal and external customers

Competitive Salary A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $105,000 - $120,000. Salary will be determined by experience and qualifications. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
