Selectek is looking for an Engineering Manager develop and lead custom engineered products located in Birmingham AL Preferred: Develop and maintain customer relationships by understanding current and future needs of customers. Manage an ISO 9001 certified engineering change process. Serve as a manager, mentor, knowledge resource, and escalation point for employees. Build credibility and trust within the department. Establish and maintain reporting tools to help ensure quality and quantity of team output Oversee designs based on the interpretation of IEEE specifications, customer specifications, and acceptable manufacturing processes. Generate/Review drawings as required. Provide supervision/development of Application Engineering personnel and assist in business planning. Review or develop bill-of-material to meet customer product requirements. Knowledge/Experience of engineering principles, IEEE specifications, test methods, continuous improvement, computer hardware/software including CAD and CNC programming. Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills. Required:

Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university. PE or MBA Minimum of 5 years of product design experience Experience with SolidWorks, 3D, CAD, and Finite Element Analysis Great interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent time management and teamwork skills.

She started her career selling capital equipment for hotels, nursing homes, coin laundries and dry-cleaning plants. After 14 years she decided to be a stay-at-home mom and raise her three beautiful daughters. In 2010, Kim started a new career in Engineering/Technical recruiting and fell in love with it. During this time Kim has trained new employees, recruited internally, and worked as a full desk recruiter. Kim finds the most enjoyment from working with clients to solve their problems. In 2020, Kim found her forever home at Selectek, Inc. as an Account Manager. When Kim is not helping clients, she is spending time with her husband Jim and three daughters.
