High Pressure Fill Plant Manager The High Pressure Fill Plant Manager is charged with the cultivation and maintenance of a high-performance plant in accordance with lean management and process improvement practices in order to maintain production and inventory levels of cylinders for the company. This manager must work effectively within an informal, flat, and yet highly process-oriented organization.

Responsibilities:

Production

Coordinate and assist in the filling of cylinders as needed given staffing and training levels within the production team. Manage efficient and cost reducing production for improved performance. Monitor key business metrics to drive exemplary throughput including, but not limited to, operational expenses and inventory expenses. Maintain existing SOPs and communicate with other managers without allowing a degradation of the production schedule. Collaborative work is important, but maintaining process and expectations is more important. Follow established processes as written and work with the ERP Integration team to create new process and to improve existing processes as needed. Keep the processes up-to-date to ensure the continued success of the whole organization. Manage production inventory levels based on demand forecast and inventory buffers to ensure inventory levels in branches and plants are sufficient. Suggest continuous improvement of production processes corresponding with changing organizational needs and market conditions with input from executive team and the ERP Integration team. Maintain an adequate inventory of all testing and safety supplies need for the plant to run safely. Competency in the proper usage and care of machinery and training of operators to keep equipment in good working order. Identify and address any maintenance concerns to uphold a continuation of work and ensure workplace safety. Manage the maintenance work required by the third-party suppliers of service maintenance. Manage the yearly and quarterly equipment inspection forms.

Safety and Regulatory

Train all personnel in compliance, quality, and safety programs designed to set safe work environment expectations and processes, and to explain FDA, DOT, OSHA, and all other company policies. Evaluate employee performance consistently to all safety standards per company policies and procedures, FDA, DOT, and OSHA requirements. Maintain and keep meticulous records of medical gases and supplies in strict compliance with all Food and Drug Administration regulations pertaining to pharmaceutical drug manufacturing. Maintain and uphold a strict compliance with all regulations including, but not limited to, those put in place by the Department of Transportation, Homeland Security, OSHA, and the Fire Department.

Personnel

Inspire and manage team with leadership that creates a keen sense of focused purpose, clarity, and consistency in actions. Attention to detail with a sense of urgency and a drive to succeed in a productive, safe, and honest practices is essential. Direct and coordinate activities of personnel producing gas cylinders and cylinder testing through twice daily meetings to set expectations for the activity, work product review, and adjustment in production needs. Train team with a continuous focus to increase overall skill level and competency within the high functioning and safe production plant. This includes ensuring personnel know and understand all measurements used to evaluate individual and team performance daily and over time. Hire and terminate employee employment for members of your team with the assistance of the payroll group and the support of the company’s CEO and President.

Administrative

Manage relationships with industry consultants to maintain our client’s operational integrity and regulatory compliance objectives. Use computer systems to organize daily production, cycle count inventory levels, manage production levels and utilize system statistics to plan changes to operations. Arrange for disposal of surplus materials and dead inventory. This position must understand and control cost structures, inventory levels and financial results within production to ensure a high level of inventory availability with reduced operating expenses.

Experience:

B.S. degree preferred. 5-10 years of experience in production management at a high-pressure production fill plant or other compressed/packaged gas products. 3+ years of filling experience with atmospheric gases preferred. This position offers a competitive base salary.
