Apply TodayJob Summary and QualificationsThe role of the Director of Physician Services (DPS) I provides support to hospital facilities operations management related to physicians, including primary care, specialists, and subspecialists who practice in hospital and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include oversight of the operations, budget, and general management of a portfolio of practices within a defined geographic area or specialty. This individual will have strategic, ongoing communications and interactions with the relevant hospital division from both a strategic and tactical standpoint. Building effective partnerships with hospital and operations team members is integral to success in this role.What you will do in this role:You will demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to delivering exceptional care to create an unmatched value proposition for our patientsYou will identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, removes barriers and resistance, and enable desirable behaviorYou will collaborate effectively with Division service line leaders and hospital business development leadersYou will proactively identify practice/business development opportunities to increase market shareYou will direct and manage strategic projects for areas such as patient flow, patient satisfaction, practice volume, billing and collections, service utilization, coding, physician and staff trainingYou will have strategic and tactical operational responsibility for the business and clinical functions through administrative and clinical staff including providers, front desk, medical records, nursing, and ancillary services to ensure maximum utilization of resources and the efficient delivery of services of his or her assigned practices. These responsibilities include Human Resources responsibilities. You will develop, implement and monitor practice budgets including analyzing financial impact of changes and forecasts, and expenditures. Recommends corrective action as requiredYou will have supervisory responsibility for physicians and practice staff as well as meet regularly with constituents including but not limited to operations leadership, physicians and hospital administration to review practice strategy, market and division goals, financial performance and practice key indicatorsYou will oversee physician recruiting and contracting in collaboration with other PSG colleaguesYou will work with physicians and division leadership to provide innovative practice growth and quality solutions that will maintain and improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.You will promote consistent patient interactions that advance the agenda of increased patient satisfactionYou will perform other duties as assigned What qualifications you will need:Bachelor’s Degree in health or business administration requiredMaster’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferred CMPE completion preferred 3+ years of leadership experience in practice management of multiple locations required5+ years of relevant clinical operations experience required Supporting HCA Healthcare's 186 hospitals and 2,400+ sites of care, Physician Services plays a crucial role as the main entry point for patients looking for high-quality healthcare within the HCA Healthcare system.
