$92,000 Pay Range Information Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The Associate Director of Graduate Student Success at the Argyros College of Business and Economics ( ACBE ) supports students from orientation to graduation, helping the students navigate through their academic journey. The Associate Director serves as an advisor to the Assistant Dean of Student Success in the areas of student services, academic advising, programming, ranking, accreditation, and curriculum updates. The Associate Director of Graduate Student Success is responsible for any academic advising inquiries. The incumbent supports and leads the daily operations, administration, budget, and programming for the graduate student success and works very closely with the Graduate Admissions and Recruitment. The Associate Director will ensure a high quality of service, with a strong emphasis and commitment to the overall student experience throughout their academic program progress. Responsible for developing a comprehensive plan to create an efficient and effective process incorporating staff, technology, and networking. This position is responsible for student success toward graduation and reaching alumni status. Responsibilities ENROLLMENT

AFFAIRS Academic advising: assist with course selection, enrollment, and registration. Maintain accurate records and provide timely support by following best in class academic standards. Streamline processes, which might include student academic probation counseling sessions, and other issues related to student affairs Serve as liaison to student financial services and international student scholar services Conduct program reviews in support of modernizing student program manuals, codes of conduct, course bulletins and other related documentation. Work in partnership with graduate admissions and career advancement to ensure that students matriculate and arrive on campus with clear expectations for student success. Other duties as assigned. PROGRAMMING

Collaborate with campus partners such as Academic Affairs, Career Advancement, the Writing Center, the Counseling Center, Residential Life, Office of Equity and Inclusion, IS&T services to provide programming and support services for graduate business students. Evaluate existing programs and recommend and develop new programs to support graduate student life and success. Effectively promote programing, including student social activities, and maintain and analyze programs for effectiveness and improvement. Actively seek opportunities to interact with graduate students to be aware of current graduate student issues and concerns. Maintain a connection with Graduate Student Housing. NEW

ORIENTATION

Assist with planning and implementing new graduate student orientation to welcome new students and to introduce university services and resources. Assist with new student onboarding. Evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements to graduate orientation. Oversee and support the securing rooms, catering, content creation, processing of payments and communicating with incoming students. ADMISSION

Assist with the graduate admission process partnering with University team to manage incoming graduate applications and acceptances. Handle assigned process in the confidential admission system. Respond to requests and queries from prospective applicants. Participate in webinars, prospective student interviews and other recruiting and admissions events. Required Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent combination in education and experience. Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with diverse individuals and groups at all organizational levels, both within and outside the University. Proven ability to comprehend a process and take a given task from beginning to completion. Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare concise and grammatically correct business correspondence and other documents. Proven ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiency and accurately in a busy work environment with many interruptions. Strong analytical skills to assess situations, obtain appropriate information and make sound judgment and independent decisions appropriate for the position level. Demonstrated attention to detail. Demonstrated tact and diplomacy and ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong organizational skills Microsoft Office Suite applications knowledge, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Adobe Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures Ability to demonstrate initiative without constant supervision Ability to carry out duties in a timely manner and to prioritize duties when faced with interruptions, distractions, and fluctuating workload Strong commitment to customer service Strong commitment to teamwork Desired Qualifications
