Contract Management Analyst

Major Responsibilities:
- Review/interpret federal, state, and managed care reimbursement rules and/or contract terms to model and calculate net revenue related to reimbursement of hospital services.
- Review and monitor contractual allowance calculations and variances in expected reimbursement. Identify origin of overpayments or underpayments or modeling discrepancies and perform routine root cause analysis to identify system and/or contract modeling errors.
- Liaison/Training - Provide ongoing support and tools for internal and external customers related to Advocate's hospital contracts.
Education/Experience Required:
- Associates degree (or equivalent work experience) with 7+ years of progressive experience within a large hospital or integrated healthcare delivery system in revenue cycle /contract management/healthcare systems
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel skills * Demonstrated, self-directed, results oriented approach to problem-solving * Demonstrated ability to build collaborative working relationships * Ability to communicate effectively, including presentations to leadership
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to assist in training and education of other staff
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with overtime as needed. Ability to work independently
- Ability to handle concurrent work Ability to meet demands of multiple customers.
