Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director within Branch Systems and Transformation Technology. This role will focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities for Branch Systems and Transformation line of business and Branch Channel Management. The Branch Channel Management is responsible for enabling applications for branch enablement operations, device management, end user and customer experience, and Hardware implementation. In addition, the Technology Director will be responsible for Branch Hardware Strategy, including budget management. This role will be responsible for leading Application Development/Software Certification while driving and owning the SDLC changes for the applications supporting Branch Enablement services.
In this role, you will:
- Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
- Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
- Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers
- Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities
- Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
- Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
- Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced leaders
- Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- Responsible for facilitating the relationship between the technology organization and large business unit client by managing and supporting the delivery of high-profile technology products and services.
- 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of Management experience
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Prior experience as an engineering manager leading application development / software certification
- 8+ years of experience with Agile practices
- 5+ years of experience with modern software engineering technologies and tool sets
- 5 + years of experience successfully leading technology organization transformations
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and managing multiple competing priorities
- Experience in creating and executing Branch Hardware strategy, including budget management.
- Experience building and fostering collaborative relationship with business partners and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge existing processes and drive change management culture across the team.
