**Location:** South Windsor, CT, US, 06074 Perform hands-on fabrication and assembly of fuel cell parts, molded components, and subassemblies. Requires use of robotic and other machinery, mechanical equipment, and hand and power tools. Typical work assignments include fabrication and assembly of molded components. Carry out the full spectrum of technical duties in the fabrication, assembly, test, quality assurance, and debugging of systems and assemblies, ensuring all work conforms to established control standards/specifications. Actively participate in process improvement teams, properly maintain tools and equipment and maintain a safe, clean and comfortable work environment. This position is similar to our other Assembler positions, but will be specifically on the Refurb team and report to a different supervisor on 1st shift (6am - 2:30pm M-F).

****Role & Responsibility****

* Under direction of supervisor, manufacturing engineer or lead, perform assigned assembly work of lesser complexity required to meet standard fabrication and assembly work to meet production schedules and manufacturing goals, including quality and cost.

* Work with others and develop self-skills as required to assure fabrication, assembly and test procedures meet quality and production standards.

* May perform the work necessary to set up and operate straddle carriers and the gantry crane to secure, transport and position large modules, assemblies and powerplants.

* May consider and propose improvised or new methods and recommend improvements to tooling and processes to meet/exceed engineering requirements for new and changed processes.

* Identify and troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions in a team environment

* Focus on developing the skills and the tools/techniques required to develop and employ continuous improvement focus and achievement.

* Support self-development and the development of other newer employees to attain optimal quality performance and to enhance individual and the groups skill base.

* Demonstrate through actions that responsibility for developing talent and sharing knowledge is a very integral aspect of overall performance elevation and development of self and others.

**Education & Experience**

* High School diploma or equivalent required.

* Trades training a plus

* 0-2+ years of work experience an industrial/production/manufacturing environment is preferred.

**Knowledge & Skill**

* Possession of relevant production assembly knowledge necessary to perform work competently

* Mechanical material movement skills and training

* Good reading comprehension and general communications skills.

* Good organizational skills, with focus on sequential process adherence

* Basic math, reading and writing skills required

* Basic computer skills required
