At AFRY, you can be yourself.Job DescriptionTo further our ambition to be a leading global process industries engineering and consulting company providing sustainable solutions, we are seeking a Business Development Director for our operations in the United States. The position would preferably be in Appleton, WI or Birmingham, AL, but working remotely from other locations in the US is possible with a traveling commitment to Appleton headquarters. The Business Development Director will lead the commercial team to identify and support client prospective opportunities for AFRY USA in the Process Industries markets, with a focus on Chemicals and Biorefinery, Metals and Mining, and Sustainable Energy. Within the markets listed above, this individual will: Identify prospective clients seeking assistance in focus markets.Identify equipment suppliers and/or constructors seeking partnership opportunities.Leverage AFRY's global network of professionals to enhance value-add opportunities to both AFRY and AFRY's clients in the United States.Represent AFRY USA in client development and continued business relations with its clients as well as leverage the AFRY our brand both in the USA and globally.Foster all sales solutions to be supported by sustainability and digitalization value propositions.Lead internal strategy meetings and coordinate AFRY staff interactions and communications.Maintain and update Customer Relationship Management database.Lead staff in developing proposals and providing value propositions and winning strategies.This position will interface with business development peers across the globe and must have a close interaction with the Americas offices, Global Key Account Managers, and the Global Business market leaders. QualificationsThe person we are looking for:Is sales oriented, dynamic, and client focused.Is a team player with a service minded approach and global way of thinking.Has great communication skills.Has at least 10 years' experience in business development in one or more markets including chemical, biorefinery, metals or mining.Has a knowledge of all phases of the delivery process for project engineering and construction of capital projects.Has experience organizing, preparing and pricing proposals for engineering or construction services.Has experience developing and presenting qualifications to prospective customers.Has experience managing the sales process with Customer Relationship Management software.Experience in selling Consulting and engineering services is a plus.Domestic travel is required.
