Job Description: The QA/QC Engineer - Electrical will be responsible for supervising and monitoring all electrical and telecommunication work activities, ensuring quality and compliance with project specifications. The role includes managing system manuals, coordinating quality related activities with clients, contractors, and vendors, and overseeing material inspections, testing, and commissioning processes.

Requirements Roles & Responsibilities:

Supervise and monitor all electrical and telecommunication works, including implementation of the QMS and Project Quality Inspection.

Maintain and manage documentation such as system manuals, international & national standards, client specifications, technical data sheets, and product catalogs.

Responsible for all electrical tasks including grounding, cable management, switches, data systems, and security systems.

Ensure compliance with inspection requests and approvals as per the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and standards.

Verify vendor accreditations, certifications, and approvals.

Maintain quality records like QA/QC weekly reports, internal inspection reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).

Review specifications, project activity codes, and standards including SAES-T, ITP UL, NEC, NFPA, TIA/EIA, IEC, and IEEE.

Witness and validate installations and inspections of various systems.

Ensure proper material storage, handling, and identification at project sites.

Monitor ongoing inspection and testing activities to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Minimum Qualifications:

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

5 years of work experience in the construction of electrical/infrastructure projects.

Benefits Generic Skills:

Familiarity with international standards such as ASTM, NEC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.

Strong management skills to oversee QC activities at projects.

Excellent communication skills for effective coordination internally and externally.

Teamwork skills to lead a team of QC inspectors and manage project QC activities.

Specific Criteria or Requirements:

The candidate should be adept at using calibrated equipment and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Experience in managing and closing NCRs efficiently is essential.

Candidates must have proven ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

Requirements Responsibilities:

Project Management and Supervision: Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.

Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.

Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.

Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.

Quality Control and Safety Compliance: Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.

Review the work progress on a daily basis.

Communication and Reporting: Report project progress and budget matters to clients.

Communicate with clients to interpret their needs and requirements.

Maintain a daily diary of the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary.

Problem Solving: Resolve any problems that may arise due to emergencies, delays, or other issues.

Documentation: Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.

Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
