What You'll Do:

We're seeking a Junior QA Automation Engineer to join our team and assist in ensuring the quality of our software products through automated testing process. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, functional QA staff, and the Product team to implement and execute automated test cases, identify bugs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing strategies. Our ideal candidate has a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and coding experience. Your day to day would include:

  • Evaluate and recommend testing tools and environment
  • Participate in installation and maintenance of testing tools and environment
  • Analyze system requirements to develop and maintain test plans and data
  • Document test plans and environments to be run by yourself and others
  • Write and maintain test automation
  • Assist in developing quality assurance standards
  • Document, prioritize and monitor issues
  • Streamline processes for efficiency

What You'll Need:

The ideal candidate for this role has strong coding skills and knowledge of the latest software engineering practices and web technologies. We're looking for someone who enjoys digging deeper to identify and resolve issues and excels in prioritizing and executing tasks in a fast-moving environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices, with a strong emphasis on automated testing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Detail-oriented approach to testing, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results and ensuring the integrity of software products
  • Knowledge of creating SQL queries to view and update data

Nice To Have:

Although not required, but it would be great if you have:

  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium JUnit, or similar
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence
  • Experience implementing testing frameworks
  • Experience developing test plans from requirements
  • Experience with API testing tools and techniques
  • Experience with cross-browser testing of transactional applications
  • Experience writing test scripts for automated testing tools
  • Familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools
  • Familiarity with agile software development and exploratory testing
  • Scripting/programming knowledge and ability to review Java, JavaScript, C# code and design documents
