**Senior Buyer Liquid Packaging Board Division (Longview, WA)**

Nippon Dynawave Packaging Co. LLC, is a Leading Global Paper Products Company recognized for its performance in safety, ethics and sustainability. This position is part of the Liquid Packaging Board Division and is located in Longview, WA.

**Background:**

This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day procurement activities in addition to strategic procurement initiatives. This role is both tactical and strategic and roughly split 50/50. The Senior Buyer reports to the Procurement Manager located in Longview, WA.

**Key Functions:**

Senior Buyer ensures all purchases are performed in accordance within risk management processes, including the utilization of proper contract documents and sourcing agreements. The Senior Buyer will conduct negotiations, based upon TCO, and strive for the optimum inflection of business and operational objectives.

In addition to the execution of materials and services the Senior Buyer will assist with developing and maintaining healthy vendor and customer partnerships, pre-qualifying contractors in accordance with companys safety standards, and verifying Suppliers insurance and safety credentials.

Transactional activities include procurement of: professional services; MRO; operational supplies; contractor services; raw and direct materials.

Strategic activities include: collaborating with technical counterparts to fully comprehend the technical specifications of projects, lead sourcing of the project, negotiate capital equipment terms and costs of a project, participate in the development and execution of the stage gate process and conduct the procurement of capital equipment and/or the professional services required.

This position is also responsible for analyzing global supply chain risk and developing contingency plans for direct materials.

**Requirements:**

* Bachelors degree minimum

* Minimum of 7 years capital procurement experience

* Firm understanding of FEL capital assessment

* Formal negotiation training

* SAP proficient

* Effective public speaker and presenter

* Pulp & Paper experienced (desired)
