Parts Coordinator/Maintenance Mechanic

Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Parts Warehouse Coordinator/Maintenance Mechanic spends approximately 30%-40% of time responsible for coordinating all daily parts warehousing activities including but not limited to receiving of goods and services, requisition submittals, and inventory management, and managing the CMMS system. The remaining 60%-70% of time is spent supporting all maintenance activities both logistically and hands on doing repairs, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting machinery as part of the maintenance team.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Parts Warehouse Coordinator 30-40%Assists and leads assigned activities associated with warehouse operations.Responsible for managing the process of receiving, stocking, and quality control of all goods and services including cost control. Follows corporate procurement processes and procedures.Responsible for organizing, planning, coordinating, facilitated and managing all aspects of physical inventory and storage areas.Generate Work orders and signing out parts assisting maintenance team.Build and manage CMMS system for all production equipment.Support Corporate Safety initiatives working with safety team.Identify any improvement opportunities and make recommendations for change.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintenance Mechanic 60-70%Responsible for using safety devices and protective equipment. Use safe work practices and methods in the operation of all tools and equipment necessary to complete tasks.Maintain, install and repair electrical/electromechanical and mechanical component systems for concrete masonry plant equipment for safe and efficient operations.Read blueprints and schematics. (Preferred)Welding and fabrication experience. (Preferred)Works and drives towards a team environment.Safely operate motor vehicles and other mobile equipment including man lift, forklift, skid steer, and others as become necessary in the course of plant repair/maintenance.Plan work in an effective manner and keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.Performs and drives preventative maintenance on all equipment to help reduce unnecessary downtime.Responsible for correcting and/or reporting any conditions that may be hazardous to employees, contractors etc.Work safely with members of the maintenance department and all other manufacturing personnel towards the common goal of minimizing downtime and maximizing quality and productivity of the production lines.Quickly assess issues during breakdowns and communicates with equipment operators and then applies troubleshooting, diagnostic and knowledge to repair equipment in an efficient manner.Building and grounds maintenance.Other duties as assigned. RequirementsQUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and professionalism when working with employees, customers, and business associates at all levels.Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Experience in Fluke/E-Maintenance preferred or a similar purchasing and work order software database. (Preferred)Have relative training and/or experience in at least 3 of the following fields:Welding and fabricating.Hydraulics.Pneumatics.Electrical/electromechanical motor controls circuits and troubleshooting.Read wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals.Automotive repair and/or Diesel Mechanics.Skilled in the application of methods used in the trade; use of hand tools, testing equipment, and the safe installation of new and replacement parts.Knowledge of the rules of safety, especially as they relate to mechanical and electrical work and OSHA guidelines.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Ability to work independently and as a team.Ability to lift up to 75lbs routinely.Ability to work extended hours during peak season.For over 85 years, York Building Products has stood as a testament to enduring excellence in the building materials industry.
