Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) is a drug product & finished goods manufacturing organization responsible for the reliable delivery of Roche’s commercial portfolio & pipeline products. The Operations organization at HTO is divided into 2 value streams, which combine to produce millions of units of life-saving medicine every year to patients around the world.
What you’ll do:
In this exciting role, you will contribute to the development & execution of the site Reliability Program at Hillsboro Technical Operations, through the optimization of asset reliability, availability, and operational safety. You will apply reliability-centered maintenance strategies; root cause analyses; usage-, condition- and predictive-based maintenance techniques; and good engineering practices. Provides project management capabilities for Reliability Engineering projects. Partners with cross-functional team members to drive reliability at the site.
You will develop and execute the site-wide Reliability Program.
You will champion and lead Reliability Engineering initiatives at the site level, and serve as HTO point of contact for Reliability Engineering initiatives at the network level
You will perform Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) and develop corrective actions & preventive actions (CAPA) associated with failures, events, abnormal conditions, maintenance execution issues, costs, etc.
You will develop partnerships with site Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Quality functions, as well as Roche network partners, to deliver value
You will be responsible for completion of technical assessments, investigations, and data analysis
You will apply theories and principles of Reliability, Project Management, Lean and Six Sigma to address problems of a complex nature
You will employ traditional predictive maintenance methods (such as tribology, thermography, vibration, ultrasound, etc.,) and leverage emerging digital tools (such as advanced analytics, modeling, etc.)
You will ensure integration of environment, health, safety and security into the business process, systems, and programs while reporting safety and environmental incidents including injuries, illnesses, and safety suggestions within one’s functional area. Foster a positive safety culture in which no one gets hurt.
Who you are:
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and have 1-3 years of experience for an Engineer I and 4-7 years of experience for an Engineer II.
You have a demonstrated ability to apply experience and hands-on mechanical skills to Engineering first principles
You have experience with applying digital technologies (e.g., predictive analytics, modeling) to traditional reliability tools is highly desirable
You are able to establish credibility, build coalitions, and influence both up & down the organization
You are able to sit, stand, and move within work space for extended periods of time
You may work in a cleanroom environment that requires gowning in the form of hospital scrubs, coveralls, gloves, and steel toed shoes. In addition, no makeup or jewelry to be worn when in the cleanroom environment.
May work with hazardous materials and chemicals
Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding
