    General Statement of Duties:
    As the IT System Administrator at Blackfeet Community College, your role is multifaceted, encompassing the management, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software systems, as well as ensuring the security of the college's network infrastructure. You'll oversee the installation and maintenance of various IT components, including servers, workstations, and software applications, ensuring they operate efficiently to support the educational endeavors of faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, your responsibilities extend to implementing and monitoring security measures to protect sensitive data and mitigate potential cyber threats, requiring a proactive approach to stay ahead of evolving security risks. In your capacity as the primary technical support resource, you'll provide timely assistance and guidance to end users, resolving IT-related issues and minimizing disruptions to their workflow. Your effective communication skills will be instrumental in liaising with stakeholders across the college community, ensuring their IT needs are understood and addressed promptly. By delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining optimal IT functionality, you'll play a vital role in supporting the college's vision, mission and core themes of academic excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) required in Information Technology, Network Administration, Information Systems,Cybersecurity Or Associate of Science (AS) in Computer Science
  • Bachelor of Science preferred in Information Technology, Network, Administration, Information Systems, or Computer Science
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field required.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are a plus.
