Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionThis position is a full-time, permanent onsite non-clinical position within Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance in Columbia, TN.Responsibilities:Schedule workers' compensation appointments, follow-up appointments, and coordinate the scheduling of ancillary servicesAppropriately document and task correspondents from adjuster and/or case manager in patient's chartWork closely with employers, insurance adjusters, a physician to communicate and collaborate on workers' compensation case issuesManage the workflow of assigned workers' compensation cases, including telephone and email inquiries from employers, insurance carriers, and case managers, regarding injured workerObtain authorization and pre-certification for services such as examinations, physical therapy, diagnostics and other ancillary servicesNotify appropriate departments/physician if authorization has been approved/declined for test and surgery by the adjuster and/or case managerComplete C30-A to Workers Comp once patient has reached PPI and MMI and fax and/or emailMaintain Workers' Compensation rules and regulations through Tennessee Department of LaborRequirementsRequirementsExceptional customer service and patient focusMulti-tasking and successfully operating in a fast-paced environment, with the demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of telephonic inquiries and documentation workflow with a high degree of accuracyKnowledge of Insurance, particularly workers compensation and health insurance provisions are essentialKnowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, including experience with computer systemsCollaboration, working closely with clinical colleagues and administrative teammates to develop a cohesive, high performing teamDependability, with a reliance on the capacity to be at work on-time, every day so our patients can receive the care they need in a timely mannerPreferredExperience using NextGen3-5 years' experiencePrecertification experienceBenefitsCompetitive payComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k match with employee contribution and discretionary profit-sharingPaid Time Off (which increases with years of service)Paid HolidaysTOA Columbia is an equal opportunity employer.
