Title: C5ISR Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Job Description
We are seeking a team member with broad technical experience in existing DoD systems, acquisition experience and a desire to learn new systems and technologies. You will become a part of a flexible and dynamic team working directly with Senior Government officials within a high-level DoD organization.
As a C5ISR Subject Matter Expert, you will analyze existing systems, new technologies and new processes for upgrading technologies and the way users operate with those systems. These systems include terrestrial, airborne and space-based communications links and command and control (C2) systems. Other systems generally within C5ISR may be relevant based on the needs of the customer organization and your experience.
Onsite, face-to-face office work environment with periodic travel (10%) and potential for occasional telework and/or alternative work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Routinely interact with high level Government officials, acquisition leadership, international coalition partners, defense industrial base and Science and Technology development community.
Review and produce technical reports, briefings, readahead and action packages for Senior Government Officials up to the presidential appointee level following appropriate channels and protocols.
Communicate system analysis results and activities in emails, technical reports, papers, presentations and meetings.
Basic Qualifications:
10 years or more technical experience related to any C5ISR technologies or systems
5 years of experience working within a system acquisition, team or program management
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics or a related field
US Citizen
DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Access (or agency equivalent) or ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Access
Preferred Experience:
Experience working in a face-to-face office environment with Presidential appointed and GO/FO/SES level managers.
Operational or development experience on C5ISR systems including tactical data links, other communications links, C2, cybersecurity and space systems.
Modeling and simulation experience at the technical, system and/or operational level.
