About The Role
We are currently searching for Underwriters and Senior Underwriters for our US Managing General Agency (MGA) team. These roles will be part of a growing underwriting department. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of experience as a middle market and/or large account underwriter. Responsibilities include meeting profitability goals, making underwriting decisions, developing relationships, negotiating terms, and more. Candidates must align with company core values and demonstrate continuous improvement. Travel may be required. Additional requirements include the ability to work remotely and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of middle market and/or large account underwriting experience.
Proactive verbal and written communication skills.
Interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Characteristics:
Prior experience with Socotra and/or Salesforce, or ability to quickly learn.
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Emotional intelligence, ability to influence, build connections.
Understanding of the youth/amateur sports landscape.
Additional Requirements:
Occasional travel may be required.
Must have a dedicated remote work environment.
Self-motivated, proactive communicator.
Willingness to attend virtual meetings with camera on.
Located in or willing to work in Central or Eastern Time Zone.
Must be 18 or older with unrestricted work authorization in the US.
