The Lead Medical Technologist, Cellular Therapy is responsible for assuming the duties and responsibilities for the department in the absence of the supervisor including taking the responsibility for the performance of all technical and clerical duties assigned at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC). Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Bachelor's degree in a related area. 2. Minimum of 6 years of experience in clinical laboratory experience or related cell therapy manufacturing experience. 3. Works with a high degree of latitude. 4. Expert knowledge of subject matter. 5. Handles most complex issues and problems. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 7. Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: 1. Some supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory setting. 2. Previous cellular therapy and/or blood bank experience. Licenses and Certifications Required: 1. Possesses categorical classification or is American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent eligible. Licenses and Certifications Preferred: 1. Certified as Medical Technologist (ASCP), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (NCA), Clinical Laboratory Technologists (HEW) or equivalent. 2. Certified Advanced Biotherapies Professional (CABP).
