Overview:

Sr SC Planning Manager has responsibility for working with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the optimal balance between customer service levels and inventory asset utilization is met. Supports and works closely with Manufacturing Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Logistics to drive overall business performance including service, inventory and cost objectives. He/She develops comprehensive business metrics and ensures alignment of supply strategy with global business strategies

Sr SC Planning Manager is also accountable for appropriately managing and improving overall inventory turnover (including raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods), and for developing the capabilities of the Deployment & Production Planning organization. He/she is also responsible for communicating significant current/potential supply performance problems (schedule unfeasibility or non-compliance, material or capacity imbalances, etc.) to the appropriate stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Management

  • Ensures full alignment of Planning development strategy operational business plans, objectives and KPIs;
  • Leads supply planning team and ensure the Planning processes are aligned with Pepsico standards, applicable audit polices and rules;
  • Continuous improvement of Finished Goods & Raw Materials inventory planning processes and results;
  • Oversees Company Contingency Supply Planning process from Planning perspective;
  • Implementation and support of new company projects for function and business development;
  • Continuous improvement towards Best Practice processes and systems;

Supply Planning

  • Leads the Supply Process within the S&OP umbrella. Drives functional process excellence across Key Performance Indicators Analysis;
  • Directly supervises the Supply Planning Managers on a day-to-day agenda to ensure feasible Master Production Schedules and Material Requirements Plans vs. unconstrained market Demand Consensus requirements. Communicates direction, priorities and issues/risks to E2E Director & key stakeholders;
  • Establishes strategies, key performance metrics, target objectives/guidelines and improvement initiatives to meet supply management objectives, including differentiated offerings by product/customer classification or geography as appropriate;
  • Participates in the establishment of target inventory levels and mix to achieve management objectives for service levels, backorder incidence/duration and inventory turnover. Identifies and leads efforts to improve inventory velocity and minimize preventable losses due to excess supply and obsolescence;
  • Establishes processes to ensure continual integrity main planning parameters (lead times, Days Forward Supply, Safety Stock, etc.). Monitors key performance and communicates significant variances or potential future risks as needed;
  • Designs and executes service strategies to drive customer satisfaction;
  • Responsible for the overall timeliness and integrity of product availability information and maintenance of parameters supporting order promising (Available-to-Promise);
  • Effectively directs the supply planning elements for new product introductions, conversions and rationalization efforts in support of the Product Optimization Program;
  • Minimize FG & RM write offs through proactive planning and early warning mechanisms and agreeing appropriate alternatives;
  • Translates of country business plan requirements into strategic planning approach (inventory strategy, full coordination with Logistics & Production departments, translate demand needs to optimal cost supply plan);
  • Ensures Daily, Weekly & Monthly reporting and KPIs measurement system provided to management for business based decision making

Planning tools support and development.

  • Manage complex supply chain process transformation projects in the areas of supply planning;
  • Lead and manage teams in the implementation of business process improvements;
  • Leverage business and technical expertise to address technology architecture, blueprinting, data analysis, business modeling, technical design, application development, integration, and enablement.
  • Lead the systems integration/implementation of ERP software for supply chain planning by driving the business and functional requirements and process changes.

Growth & Innovations.

  • Establish a continuous improvement environment within planning department;
  • Works out and develop planning processes, initiatives aimed at cost savings, inventory optimization;
  • Lead and implement new processes and applications related to innovation programs
  • Motivates planning team to improve strategies, tools and processes

Qualifications:
  1. University / Bachelor degree
  2. Minimum of 5+ years business experience with a demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and "Best Practices." Specific experience in the areas of Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Materials Management and Sales / Operations Planning preferred.
  3. Knowledge of integrated Supply Chain systems;
  4. Advanced analytical skills including business and financial analyses. Advanced PC application skills.
  5. Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, oral/written communication, and process facilitation skills.
  6. Demonstrated change management skills.
  7. Excellent written and oral skills, strong process facilitation skills and ability to lead without direct authority
  8. Self-motivated, energetic, proactive in his/her attitude to business. Focused, determined to succeed and contribute to team success. High level of personal integrity.
