This full-time, year-round position is not just a job but an opportunity to develop your skills and grow in your career.SummaryWe seek a detail-oriented and diligent Dockmaster Operations Assistant to join our team. This role involves ensuring the overall appearance of all vessels and the surrounding yard and facility. Responsibilities include assisting with winterization in the fall and preparing our fleet of 60 boats for launch in the spring. During the boating season, the role will transition to a dockmaster. You will ensure dockstaff execute cleaning and inspection protocols on our fleet of boats. You will play a key role in keeping the boats in excellent condition for Freedom Boat Club members while ensuring the facility remains safe and efficient. This position can be physically demanding and may require working in tight spaces. You will be responsible for adequately maintaining all vessels throughout the pre-season, in-season, and post-season to help extend the fleet's lifespan.To be a successful Dockmaster Operations Assistant you should provide excellent customer service, be courteous, responsible, and detail-oriented, and uphold our commitment to customer satisfaction.RequirementsEssential duties and responsibilities during the winter months include the following:Cleaning boats' interiors and exteriors, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces in compliance with all company standards.Operating buffers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment to meet service expectations.Using cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of boats.Ensure the facility is free of hazards and that equipment is properly stored and maintainedAssist with preparing and delivering vessels for each of our 6 locations.Perform additional tasks assignedShrink wrapping boats - no experience necessary will trainEssential duties and responsibilities during the summer months include the following:Responsible for overseeing Freedom Boat Club operations at the specified location.Assists with scheduling of FBC dock staff to ensure adequate coverage while also keeping payroll costs in line with set budgets.Coordinate the arrival and departure of boats, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic in and out of the marina.Assist boat club members with docking and undocking procedures.Inspect boats for any damage and report maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.Ensure that FBC dock staff properly attend to custodial needs of vessels, prior to and upon return of boat.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.
