Description

Responsible for development of training programs and courseware using the instructional system design (ISD) process. Applies current, adult learning principles and best practices techniques in updating, designing, developing, and implementing SCORM compliant Interactive Multimedia Instruction. Maintains the integrity of all released ISD material for proposal and program execution purposes. Oversees and supports the design and development of ISD deliverables, including Task Lists, Objective Hierarchies, and syllabi. Supports the development of corresponding course materials, to include all graphics and media support with Subject Matter Expert (SME) input. Ensures that the instructional design and development of all lesson materials is in accordance with military standards and ADDIE instructional design processes.

  • Develop and reviews proposal and program course materials with input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) including but not limited to selection of appropriate instructional methods, development of instructionally sound course objectives, design and development of realistic scenarios and case studies, and design and development of valid assessment tools.
  • Conducts needs assessments and facilitates design sessions with multimedia developers and subject matter experts.
  • Supports Training Change Proposal requests.
  • Assign tasks to the appropriate technical representative within the CW department, specific tasks in accordance with ISD department process milestones identified in applicable program plans/processes.
  • Ensure all ISD requirements in proposal submissions are compliant with customer specifications.
  • Lead training needs assessments for assigned projects.
  • Assist in the development of different levels of training tasks and products against training requirements.
  • Lead continual improvement in ISD by designing and improving learning tools and development processes.
  • Document and presents tool and methodology ideas to the CAE instructional design community.
  • Consult with customers on performance management and instructional strategies.
  • Employ industry standard software, formats technical documents to a specific standard, and prepare them for LMS delivery.
  • Manage day-to-day progress of proposal and program instructional system design efforts through collaborative interaction with other department managers, instructors, multimedia specialists, web developers, engineers, technicians, subcontractors, government representatives, and training support personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelors in Instructional Design & Technology, Education or related field.
  • Five years of experience in an ISD field or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience in creating/delivering e-Learning content in Learning Content Management Systems.
  • Excellent project management and organization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Prior courseware and/or syllabus development experience highly desired.
  • Prior experience developing web enabled lesson content desire.
  • Experience in producing aviation related training products.
