Vaco hasan exciting full-time, in-office opportunity for a Credit and Collections Analystto join the controller group at a company located in Grandview Heights, OH. This highly visible and significant role within the finance function reports to the North AmericanAccounts Receivables/Payables Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and controlling a dedicated portfolio of credit customers
  • Performing daily collection activities to ensure timely settlement within agreed payment terms
  • Managing unapplied cash and credit note allocations to maintain clean customer accounts
  • Assisting Cash Application in identifying payments
  • Maintaining customer credit information
  • Reviewing orders on credit hold daily
  • Conducting credit analyses for both new and existing customers
  • Controlling legal files and liaising with collection agencies and lawyers
  • Supplying account statements to customers
  • Collaborating closely with Sales and Customer Service
  • Supporting specific tasks such as the Letter of Credit process and Cash Against Documents
  • Performing additional accounting duties and journal entries as assigned
  • Handling customer rebate reviews, calculations, and posting journal entries
  • Managing general ledger accounting processes, including reviews, calculations, and posting journal entries
  • Conducting internal financial reporting
  • Analyzing and reconciling various balance sheet accounts and maintaining supporting work papers
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable accounting rules and internal controls

Qualifications include:

  • 1-3 years of Credit and Collections experience within a business to business environment
  • Proactive, team player with an open work attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility and focus on improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel
  • Eligibility to work in the United States

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with sophisticated accounting systems and ERP experience (SAP preferred)
