This position is a Direct Hire: The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for all activities carried out in the logistics groups which include loading, picking, packaging and drivers/delivery. They will provide guidance for the execution and optimization of all logistic activities. This role will report directly to the General Manager. The successful candidate will be highly organized and will carry overall responsibility for coordinating, planning, and scheduling activities to ensure on time and accurate delivery of products. Responsibilities: General workflow oversight: Work with Production Mgr. on the flow of product between the shop floor and the warehouse to ensure all products needed are in process and get to the warehouse in a timely manner. Ensure all picking is completed and staged properly to be ready for loading. Ensure all goods to be loaded are in place and checked properly before loading onto the truck. Establish truck routes and daily runs. General responsibility of the truck fleet and trailers. Learn the new ERP system to allow the processing of the Pick, Pack, and Ship operations. Learn the new system to allow for reporting and inquiries as needed. Establish key performance indicators to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the personnel and processes. Personnel management: Provide guidance to the warehouse teams and drivers to ensure they are properly performing and working as the cohesive team that is needed for success: o Review and/or create job descriptions. o Determine if/when temporary employees should be brought on board. o Sit down with each employee and discuss their path within the organization. o Determine if the current staff is in the right position and doing the best job. o Make sure we have a team. Work with the material loaders and make sure the flow of product reflects the urgency of product needed. Interact with drivers to ensure coverage. Observe that warehouse employees are following safety guidelines. Qualifications: Must have the ability to quickly integrate with the production teams to become familiar with the processes of the business. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to allow effective communication with all levels of the company. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Must be safety minded and can identify and report risks if needed. Must exhibit good judgment, ingenuity, and personal as well as professional integrity.
