Discord is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team You will have the opportunity to play a key role in helping develop world-class processes to support our accounting and close functions while operating in a growing environment. What you'll be doing
Gather and analyze data needed to prepare journal entries in various areas such as expense accruals, payroll, foreign exchange revaluations, consolidations, and more with quick turn-around time and high accuracy
Reconcile balance sheet reconciliations, including independent research of all items to ensure completeness in assigned accounts
Prepare monthly flux analysis for areas of responsibility
Combine GAAP accounting knowledge, operational experience, and critical thinking to problem-solving effectively in respective responsibilities
Support external audit requests for annual audit
Perform ad hoc projects as requested
What you should have
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of experience in accounting
Familiarity with Oracle and BlackLine
Strong Excel spreadsheet skills (pivot tables, index(match), xlookup, multiple criteria sumproduct, etc.)
Ability to operate in a rapidly evolving, highly transactional and data driven role
You challenge the old ways of doing things and enjoy changing the status quo to optimize process and drive continuous improvement in yourself and within your function
Posses effective project management skills
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $109,000 to $117,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits. #buildingbelonging
