A successful candidate will be a detail orientated, self-starter that can successfully manage their own workload with minimal supervision and have the ability to work in a team environment.Join the Senspex Business Development team, responsible for driving sales, sustaining customer relationships, and discovering exciting new business ventures With 20+ years in the defense & surveillance industry, Senspex has an exceptional & diverse team who is looking for people like you.Why work for Senspex?Competitive payExcellent benefit options which include vision, dental, life insurance/LTD/STD, 401(k) with company match and Senspex paid medical premiums for its employees, plus other available voluntary supplemental insurances5-day work weekOptional Flex Friday Program schedule (M-Th 9 hours; F-4 hours)Profit sharing bonus planPaid Time Off (PTO)10 paid holidaysOpportunities for career growthPlease refer to the attached job description for full details/requirements of the position described below.What you'll get to do as a Business Development Associate at Senspex:Assume the communication lead in discussions with customersDevelop and implement sales strategies towards improvement of product line penetration with long and short-term profitabilityDevelop, coordinate, and execute strategies to capture new businessResponsible for the achievement of sales strategy within targeted account(s)Respond promptly to customer needs, including service needsProvide recommendations and advice to Top Management on overall sales strategy, support programs and other marketing and sales activities related to new business opportunitiesDevelop relationships with key supplier contactsParticipate in appropriate events and trade shows to enhance market presenceConduct presentation and demonstrations of products and services to potential customersSolicit orders from current and prospective customers, both in-person and through cold callingFollow up on and process sales leads based on information gathered from trade shows, marketing campaigns, telephone inquiries, and other prospectsProvide customers with the appropriate level of technical, business and service support to insure the continuation and expansion of the company and the complete satisfaction of customers with our products and servicesThe qualifications we require:At least 3 years sales experience in a technical field with demonstrated sales growthMinimum of bachelor's degree with significant coursework in a technical field such as engineering, science, or physicsStrong sales skills that promote product and services the company offers and the ability to showcase technical products, both software and hardwareMust be knowledgeable about technology, and in particular, the ability to obtain expert level knowledge on Senspex productsAbility to explain complex concepts in simple terms to usersThe qualifications we'd like to have:Military and Government sales experienceMilitary program or procurement experienceExperience with video and vision systems technologiesSee full job description for preferred qualifications.Other requirements:Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work within the United StatesNational security clearance: This position may require obtaining a U.S. DoD security clearance.
