The Lab Technician will be responsible for testing samples in the lab, recording and analyzing the data.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Perform wool content testing at the Branch laboratory.
  • Cut proper amount of sample and weigh it.
  • Measure bleach and process sample in the bleach to dissolve the wool.
  • Log sample information and keep track of multiple sample types.
  • Enter tests results in the computer and run reports for those results.
  • Maintain inventory levels on all lab supplies and order as needed.
  • Write and maintain standard operating procedures for the lab.
  • Monitor and proactively communicate issues to management.
  • Run several tests concurrently but at different stages to best utilize available space and increase productivity.
  • Analyze production data for trends and report to management.
Secondary Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Assist with writing SOP's and process documentation.
  • Maintain other reports for statistical process control for offsite processing locations for the baseball program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies, skills and Abilities
  • Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills required.
  • Ability to effectively interact with individuals in a variety of organizational roles and levels of responsibility.
  • Capable of receiving, understanding, and effectively communicating instructions in verbal and written form.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Requirements

Education & Experience
  • 2+ years of related production support experience required.
  • Associates degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing preferred.
