We are looking for a dedicated HR Assistant like you to join our Lubbock Heart team.

What You Will do in this Role:

  • Communicate pertinent information with employees and addresses customer's needs in a customer oriented and timely manner.
  • Respond to phone calls/emails in a timely manner
  • Advise managers and employees on benefits, EAP, worker's compentsation and leave.
  • Maintain HR files according to establised standards, ensuring file integrity.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with hospital established policies and state licensure.
  • Enter employee actions into computer systems and keep spreadsheets updated.
  • Funciton as an effective team member.
  • Respond appropriately to changing circumstances.
  • Coordinate new employee orientation as needed.
  • Help to coordinate Benefit Enrollment.
  • Participate in file review during hhospital surveys.
  • Serves as backup for the onboarding specialist.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to proritize and handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Knowledgeable in relevant HR laws and policiies as well as having a solid understanding of the company's culture and values.
  • Strong team member who can work with limited guidance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a human resource and/or Administrative Assistant setting.

Your Shift: Part Time Days

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients. We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery. We have a 24-hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catherization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11-day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms.
