Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Security Analyst to join our information technology and security team. As a Security Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our security operations, maintaining and enhancing our data protection and security posture. This role demands a proactive approach to managing and enhancing our security infrastructure, with a keen focus on vulnerability management, security monitoring, and compliance assistance.

The Security Analyst will work closely with the Security and Compliance Engineer as well as cross-functional teams to implement and monitor security measures, conduct regular audits, and ensure that all practices adhere to legal and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will be tasked with monitoring systems, identifying threats, implementing security measures, and responding to security breaches.

Job Description:

Core Responsibilities

Strategy & PlanningAssist in design, implementation, and management of advanced security measures to protect information systems and data; work with appropriate leadership to establish enforcement guidelines and proceduresAlert management to emerging trends in security incidents and threatsAssist in development and implementation of security policies, protocols, and best practices; stay informed of the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and technologies, recommending improvements to our security postureAcquisition & Deployment

Participate in and administer the selection and acquisition of security tools and technologiesOperational Management

Proactively conduct in-depth monitoring and analysis of security logs and tools to identify and remediate vulnerabilities and potential threats and take appropriate measures to counteract these threatsAssess and improve existing security measures and capabilities including but not limited to vulnerability management, incident management, BCP/DR, endpoint protection, firewalls, and intrusion detection systemsCollaborate closely with the Security and Compliance Engineer to facilitate audits and risk assessments ensuring meticulous documentation and compliance adherenceCollaborate with other departments to establish security best practices, vulnerability resolution, and ensure compliance with security regulations; educate and mentor team members and other staff on cybersecurity best practices, emerging threats, and security awarenessRespond to security incidents, including investigations, conducting post-event analyses, and making recommendations for preventing future incidentsInstall and manage security tools and technologies across network systemsCoordinate with vendors and third-party service providers to secure network and information systemsDrive R&D and engineering processes with security measures and process improvementsAssist in the implementation and operation of SAST and DAST across organizations productsAssist in the implementation and operations of vulnerability management across information and application systemsEscalate problems and incidents with accurate documentation to suitable stakeholders, when requiredMaintain all security and privacy documentation including policies, best practices, guidelines, and reporting KPIsWhat You Bring to the Role

Education

BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related fieldRelevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CISA, CISM, CEH, CIPP, CIPT are preferredKnowledge

5+ years of professional experience in a similar role; experience with security, privacy, compliance, IT audits including GRC implementation and managementKnowledge of ISO27001, NIST, SOC2, and PCI certification and frameworksExperience articulating security standards and processes in response to RFP and government questionnairesExperience supporting R&D and engineering teams with penetration and vulnerability assessment and resolution management including implementation of secure SDLCExperience building policies and procedures for mid-large businesses to reach required security certifications and/or complianceKnowledge and experience with security tools and technologies similar but not limited to Rapid7, Security Scorecard, Invicti, Crowdstrike, and/or Knowbe4Proficiency designing and enforcing security standards, processes, and guidelinesSkills and Abilities

Work Environment

We are a hybrid-remote workplace combining in-office and remote work to varying degrees based on role requirements and employee location. This position may involve occasional travel within North America.

This position may require the ability to participate in an on-call roster rotation and flexibility regarding varied work hours required to address outages.
