To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Automation Engineer located in Manchester CT.

Reporting to the Molding Manager. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, optimizing, simulating, and selecting robotic systems. Develop custom robot application code to interface with new technologies. Responsible for automation equipment, including robotics & controls related activities in the manufacturing floor.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Work collaboratively with design, production operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Maintenance, and other cross functional teams as the expert to ensure production lines run in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Medical Device manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge on programming 3 axis and 6 axis robots
  • Proficient in Auto CAD / Solid Works
  • PLC programming knowledge is a plus.
  • Become owner / subject matter expert to drive equipment-related process improvement including detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Here is some of what you'll need:
  • Electrical or computer engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years extensive experience on Robotic programming and applications.
  • Excellent robotic high level and background programming skills on Fanuc, Wittmann and Yushin or equivalent brands.
  • Robotic mechanical and electrical trouble shooting skills.
