They are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to enhance their financial operations and reporting accuracy. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and will be a key member of the finance team.

Role Details:

  • Reason for Opening: Replacement due to retirement
  • Position Type: Temporary to Hire Opportunity
  • Work Hours: Core business hours are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial information. Your main responsibilities as Senior Accountant will include:

  • Team Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of accountants and accounting clerks.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets.
  • Month-End Close: Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

  • Must-Have:
    • Strong proficiency in advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
    • The Senior Accountant should have experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Plus:
    • Experience with healthcare accounting
    • CPA certification
