Senior Backend Engineer

We are building an industry API marketplace to accelerate the development of solutions for the world’s largest institutions. Innovating within financial institutions is hard, slow, and complicated. It can take months for approvals and many more months for implementation. This stunts the ability to these organisations to learn and digitise. However, there are thousands of developers around the world who need to test capabilities quickly and business owners who need to work with new vendors easily. We bring the world’s fintech capability into one place for users to test. Our industry sandbox enables users, developers, and business owners to scan the global market of startups and find a capability that suits them best. We’re seeking an experienced & professional Infrastructure and DevOps engineer who is able to architect and implement secure, resilient, and efficient software solutions. You will be joining an international team of talent, based in London, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering. As a Backend Engineer at NayaOne, you will:

Beakey architectural voice indesigning and building scalable frontend and backend for our multi-brand platform. Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders inproduct, design, marketing, creative, analytics, and operations todevelop the best financial services infrastructure and experiences for our customers. Take aniterative approach tobuilding &scaling new features, balancing rapid prototyping— while also placing high importance onthe stability, security, and modularity ofour overall system. Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing amongst the wider team. Wewant you tobring your ideas tothe table, and help our team run aseffectively aspossible (e.g. pair programming, code reviews, feedback ondesign patterns). Main Responsibilities:

Architecting and implementing new features onthe backend Build high quality, maintainable APIs that deliver data and functionality toadynamic frontend Responsible for the maintenance, and delivery ofsome systems inproduction Support customers &respond tohotfixes when alerts are raised based onapplication errors Build unit tests and update API contract documentation Ifexperienced inthe frontend, building frontend components will also bepossible Experience Required:

Several years in a similar role at other startups or software companies under your belt. Experience building web products with our tech stack: Backend:TypeScript, Node, PostgreSQL, AWS Good ability to break down projects, estimate timelines, and execute projects with multiplestreams of work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with building reusable components across multiple applications and code bases.
